I signed up for the free serive "Crimemapping" about a year ago.  It monitors police calls for your address + surrounding areas you specify.  You can select what kind of calls are of interest to you.

I have noted migration of vehicle theft/burglary calls into neighborhoods South of Old Hickory in the last couple of months.  For example, just this week: 2 in Banbury, 2 in Wexford Downs, and 2 in Sterling Heights north of us.  Most are between 2:00AM and 6:00AM.

We share a driveway and we both have motion lights on the fixture over our garage doors; however, my husband is adding an alarm to his truck is which is parked outside.
