• Keep doors to your cars, garage, and home locked at all times. Even if you?’re just working in the yard, keep your house locked.


• Don?’t leave anything sitting in plain view in your car. Passing criminals won?’t think twice about breaking a window to steal something.


• Do not leave windows open or unlocked.


• Turn your porch lights on at night. Criminals don?’t like to be seen.


• Know your neighbors. Talk to them. Look out for them. Good neighbors are great for crime prevention.


• Let your neighbors know when you are going to be away from home for a long period of time. Ask them to keep an eye on things.


• Be aware of your neighborhood and report any suspicious behavior to the police.
