Spring is Coming

Spring is coming! And plans are underway to spruce up the Garden Walk!

A few years ago, you may remember, the 4th Street Business applied for, and received a Neighborhood Partners Grant from the City of Long Beach. Money was raised for this matching grant, along with hundreds of volunteer hours. The result - the ugly asphalt was removed along the fence bordering Burbank Elementary School, and replaced with a lovely planting that has been enjoyed by all.

But now some maintenance is required. The irigation system needs some work, and we would like to add some colorful flowering shrubs to replace some of the less hardy plants.
