On Memorial Day at 2:30 pm neighbors attended a ceremony in honor of all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. In particular here in the 6th ward, there were 15 men who didn't make it home it WWI. This beautiful 6th ward Memorial Park was the inspiration to remember those who served.
Volunteers from J. P McCaskey vocal emsemble sang "We shall walk through the Valley of peace" under the direction of Jordan Tracy.
Memorial Day Prayer was read by Jack Tracy:
Tom Brooks read the names of the 15 veterans who didn't come home.
Taps was played at 3 pm by Javian Sanchez, J.P. McCaskey band.
The American flag was folded by volunteers .
