Get Involved - Make Our Neighborhood Great!
There are many ways to get involved and improve our Building, Block, Neighborhood & Greater Community. Don't just complain, go out & do something about it!
Our Neighborhood Watch initiative is an effective way to prevent crime, learn about home and personal security, and address the safety of our children and the elderly. Civic involvement and collaboration between the community and the police department is an important part of crime prevention. To join or start a block watch group, please email us at

Since March 2005, Bergen Communities United (BCU) has been hosting a series of community meetings to identify priorities for neighborhood revitalization and create a workable plan for resident led action.
Titled Creating Our Future Together, the BCU Neighborhood Plan was developed based on input from local residents, business owners and others through a participatory process that included a Visioning Workshop, a Strategic Directions Workshop, and a Plan Review/ Action Planning Workshop. Based on the input and feedback from these workshops, the BCU Neighborhood Plan identifies four strategic themes.
