Once every other week the 88th Precinct Community and Youth Council President and Community Affairs Officers of the 88th Precinct attempt to spend a few hours a week together interacting, i.e., engage in quite game actives, talk about various topics, and have local field trips with our senior population. We attend senior special events as well! This particular program keeps us grounded because the seniors tell us what they think and feel without reservations keeping us all clued-up! At the same time we get to know what they need and assist them to the best of our abilities. Keeping us informed with them and their observations of the community at large.
Our mission with the senior population is to develop a relationship that meets the needs of our community that we serve. The 88th Precinct Council and 88th Precinct Staff have established relationships, plans, structure, and procedures for the betterment of those that we serve. The word "executive" means management. It derives from the meaning of "execute" as, "to get something done," not, "to put to death." The 88th Community Council is the management team that executes on behalf of the community as a whole.
