As a member of the North Memphis Community, I see signs of abuse and neglect.  Such things as the children not being cared for.   Often the children have not been bathed or fed and running around with little to no clothing on most of the time.  The parents seem to be eating but the small children always say that they are hungry.    I have talked to some neighbors and they all say that ALWAYS hear the small children screaming and crying and so do i. 

I wanted to know what to do!  Who do i call to check into this? PLEASE HELP!

Your area should have a local Children's Services department at least through your county, start there. If not, call 911 the next time you suspect abuse (screaming & crying). Document what you see & hear in a journal including which child, what the problem is, any visible marks on the child or complaints of hunger, any reports by the child or his/her siblings of abuse, "acting out" or bullying by the child him/herself, cruelty towards others or animals, sexual knowledge that is NOT appropriate for his/her age. Get any other neighbors to do the same, be calm & organized. Open your door to any child you suspect may be a victim & encourage them to come to you for help & FOLLOW THROUGH. Be available to them, trustworthy & steady for them.  If you really think a child is being victimized & you don't advocate for him/her - no one will.

I'm a mom who just adopted 5 kids from CPS last year. Let me first aplaud you for being aware of it.

Secondly, please please, get your neighbors all to call into complain.

It takes more than one person to complain for them to investigate. I called into complain about the home that my kids were living in prior to us as there were 7 more kids living in the same condition and no one even went to check.

There are over 7,500 kids in Arizona who need a home and not that many parents to take them in thats why CPS cant do much unless there are multiple complaints.

I would call the cops first and then try to get the cps number and report everything that is going on
