After the recent CWCA newsletter, I have come to the firm belief that some folks have WAY too much time on their hands. While I understand the safety aspects of inappropriate parking of Recreational Vehicles. It is sheerly amazing to me that this is the major hot button issue of our neighborhood.

Here is the view from the bottom rung of the social and economic ladder, RVs are a sign of life. They are sign of families doing things together. Which is a sign of relationship. relationship is a sign of hope, joy, endurance and growth.

And so it is, I really don't care if you park your camper on the curb to unload it or load it up for the long week in the mountains or the lake. Be good to your neighbor, ask them if they mind... oops there I go again talking about relationship.

Seriously folks... how can a meet get so heated over the use of ones property. Everyone take a breath and enjoy what God has blessed you and yours with... None of us walk on water... especially me.

I must be a very poor communicator. The heated discussion had absolutely nothing to do with RV or boat parking on the street. It was all about alleged conducting of an illegal business in the subdivision, a zoning ordnance violation in the county.
As for RV/boat parking on the street, there has never been to my knowledge anyone complaining about parking their RV on the street for a weekend or for loading purposes. As a matter of fact, the zoning regulation allows parking on the street for two weeks out of the year. It is the parking for long periods of time that is the bugaboo. We all know what it is to enjoy your recreation toys. I RVed 6 months at a time for ten years and parked my RV out front to load and unload hundreds of times, but when I parked for the winter, I put it behind my fence.
I wish we could all enjoy as good a relationship with their neighbors as I do with mine. Part of that is that I am sensitive to my neighbors feelings as well as mine.

RV's - not in the street

Please be considerate of your neighbors. Having RV's, 14 Wheelers, construction equipment and trailers parked all over the street is not only unsightly and unsafe but doesn't present a very good picture to prospective buyers if you are selling your house.

I enjoy camping with my family but am also considerate of others and conceal the camper behind a fence when not packing it up.

There are too many trucks, etc parked on our streets. The neighborhood has gone downhill every year.

I get what you say, but...

People don't leave their toy's out to load or unload, they leave them out all summer. It's tacky. Our homes are old enough without leaving things out all over the place and making it look worse. I think people do need to talk to their neighbors and let them know, but some think that our neighborhood has no rules and they can do whatever. Being polite means more then just going with the changes in how people play.
