• Monitor zoning issues in our neighborhood to ensure quality homes with minimum traffic impact,
Act aggressively on behalf of the community to clean-up vacant homes

• Provide informative Guest speakers at our Club meetings recent programs:
Reduce water use – City Watershed Dept
Housing Choice – Atlanta Housing Authority
Gangs - Atlanta Police Zone 4 Gang unit Officer

Present Activities November 18
Mrs. Dale Talley and Mrs. Lorene Paige have been taking up money for a Thanksgiving outreach to needy ABHCC seniors and for Thanksgiving Dinner for Fire Station 9 Please give a donation.

Adamsville Festival Activities November 10
A “family and neighborhood club” theme brought business, Lions club members and others to have a ball. The very successful Adamsville Festival held last Saturday at the Adamsville Recreation Center. It entertained families with “Something For Everyone”
Christian oriented dance groups, African dancers, the Darnell Dancing Divas and the Alpha Frat “STEP” group among others thrilled the crowds. A bake off with cakes and pies was held.
Youngsters got faces painted and imaginations stirred by story tellers. Oldsters saw an Antique Car show and a Motorcycle show in the parking lot. Popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs, fish and barbecue was had by the hungry. Educational medical booths were set up for information on diseases from AIDS to Vision care.

ABHCC members were present in force.
Dale Talley, and Mamie Duhart provided cakes and pies. Mrs. Lorene Paige was present. Mr. Melvin Reid took video and pictures.
Mamie Duhart took the cake! She won 2nd prize for her red velvet cake. Dale Talley’s delicious pies got rave reviews for their taste.
BettyeReid was coordinator for Festival presented by Adamsville Business and Community Partnership- ABCP, a 501(3c), non profit group. She is president of ABCP Madeline Lightfoot represented ABHCC on the ACBP Festival planning committee.
