1. Reading of the minutes by Ladelle Casimere, and received with corrections.

2. Rene Cardinaux reported on the progress of the pedestrian street lights. Delays were due to slow contractor. Concrete was poured this week, and electricity will be put in soon after the concrete. He stated that the lights would be in by May 20th (the day of the Block Party), but there would probably be no power. It would depend on PG&E. He would be in contact with PG&E, encouraging them to work quickly. He also stated that light shields are available for residents.

3. Discussion continued on the sewer back-up situation in the 1600 block. The City will sometimes run the rooter into laterals, but since clay pipes are fragile, they prefer homeowners to take care of it. Funds may be available, (this is sometimes the case, but not always). Homeowners should always contact a sewer contractor to do the work.

4. Ronnie Turner reported that money would be available for the Block Party, and plans for the event were discussed.

5. There was some discussion about the possibility of using a meeting room at the Over-60 Center for future meetings.

6. Next meeting scheduled for June 14th at 7 pm, at the home of Darnella Scott (1634 D Alcatraz Ave.)
