I agree that our community and neighborhood names should be set by us and then adhered to by all City departments. It is in the best interst of the citizens' health, safety and welfare for all departments to speak the same language.

It also shows a total lack of respect by the departments involved to label us with names we don't want, and to change our boundaries.

Let's set the record straight, once and for all.

I know Jim raised the issue with the Police Chief on March 22, and that the Chief already knew about it. The short story is that the Chief agrees our names and boundaries are our own. We can breathe easier now.

Also, I think Jim asked for help getting the police department maps straight, so City Heights neighborhoods are correct and that the police use the correct names in news reports, etc.
