It was recently mentioned during the last Eagle Ridge HOA meeting, as well as a cover story on the 'Deer Valley Independent' newspaper that the Northeast corner of 67th Ave. & Happy Valley would be developed for retail, including WalMart and Checker Auto. Does that bother any of you as much as it does us?
Our associations work very hard to keep a high standard of living, appearance, cleanliness throughout our neighborhoods, and I do not believe that WalMart conforms to those high standards. At risk of sounding like a snob, I just don't think that WalMart and Checker Auto have a home in our neighborhood -- you don't find them in Cave Creek or North Scottsdale, and you shouldn't find them here either!
