Alpine Highlands POA Board of Directors Meeting 03/04/2008

3/4/08 Alpine Highlands POA Minutes

The Board of Directors meeting held at the home of Al and Sharon Haven, was called to order on March 4, 2008 at 7:07 P.M. by president, Dick Sweeney. Present were Dick, Missy, Martin, Ron, Sharon, Pat and Debi. Chris and Shirley did not attend and have submitted their letters of resignation. Guests present were Carol Thomas, Debbie Sweeney and Al Haven.

The minutes from the November 27th, 2007 meeting were voted on and approved.

PURPOSE OF CALL:
The meeting was called to review old business and to discuss the recent County inspection of our roads. The conditions of our roads are rated in the top 2 - 3 of all PRD's in San Diego County, per Rick, our County Inspector. There are a few cracks here and there, but none that are wide enough to worry about filling this year. They may address some issues in the cul-de-sac of Calle Caleta Viejas where most ground water drains to. The County is also evaluating the possibility of installing a speed bump on Pine View Rd., North of Olive View Rd. There is a problem with younger drivers jumping their vehicles at the dip, straight through the intersection/stop sign.

FINANCIAL REPORT:
Status quo. Dick contacted the bank to update the mailing address for the statements. They will be mailed to his address as of March.

OLD BUSINESS:
Ron and Dick will contact our attorney to begin amending the Highlands Property Owners Bylaws. They will report at the next board meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:
Shirley Yoes and Chris Mackenzie have both submitted their resignations. We are looking for two new board members. Martin will post this on the website. Any property owner interested is to submit a bio to Dick and be present for all to meet him/her at our next board meeting in June.

Chris Mackenzie has been asked to be our Historian, as she has a wealth of knowledge for all of Alpine.

Boats, trailers and motor homes illegally parked in the easements are still a problem. We have had complaints regarding properties with excess car parts, tires, dumpsters in the easements, etc. We will contacting individual parties and following through as necessary.
Please, if you are a guilty party, abide by the bylaws and keep our roads and easements looking like the community we all love!

The next meeting will be held the first week of June 2008 at the home of Ron Littlefield, at 7 PM. Date to be decided via email later in May., and will be posted on the website. Future meetings will rotate through the board members homes.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 P. M.
