Prevent Deterioration of Stucco

Protect the Exterior Wall of Alta Mira

The new stucco application to the Alta Mira perimeter walls will greatly enhance the look of our community. Thanks to all who donated money to make this happen.
If you have water overspray from sprinklers in your backyard where water hits the exterior wall and/or a garden placed against the wall, please help us maintain the integrity of the stucco.

• Redirect water spray so that it does not hit the backyard wall.
• Seal the interior wall with an effective waterproof product

A knowledgeable Alta Mira resident has recommended a product named Drylok.
The manufacturer’s website is www.ugl.com According to the web site the product is:


A masonry waterproofer paint
Guaranteed to stop water even under pressure
Clean up with soap and water
Applies easily with brush and/or roller

Drylok is available at Home Depot for $22.95 per gallon - covers 75-100 sq ft.

For best results, this process should take place before April 30, 2009, when the new exterior stucco will be applied.
