Good Neighbor Policy

Good Neighbor Policy

What a breath of fresh air to have what seems to be an abundance of understanding neighbors over there in ''Big Baywood''. As a long time resident of Baywood #5, I was taken back by the respect shown to your neighbors by the choice the board has made. I feel that we all know what needs to be repaired or replaced in or on our homes, like anything it takes money and time. I also am saddened by the way our board handled our ''deed restriction'' policy. For all of you that do not live in B.V.#5, just to let you know the anger it has caused over here is awful. People are being asked to pay their dues, only to have that money used to sue their neighbors (many of whom are long time friends/residents). Neighbors against neighbors is not what this place has ever been about! People talking behind one anothers back, angry attitudes, and hardly anyone waving ''Good Morning''. The fact is, nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors. I have known of serious illness to be passed off as ''they are being lazy'', I have seen terrible tragedies to be passed off as ''relentless slobs''. Some of us are striving to be kind, loving and respectful freinds and neighbors. This is a beautiful place to raise children and a huge opportunity for newly married couples. I say it is time to bring that back. The board of Baywood should be proud of their decision. This is written by someone who is proud of you!

Something nice to say

I am surprised by the tone of several of the Baywood 5 residents. I have lived here for several years and I feel like it is a very peaceful area. All of my neighbors are friendly and we all wave and say hello to each other as well as do favors and watch out for each other.

YEA to the board- good neighbor

I'd like to say ''great job'' to the board for beginning to tackle a direction of making Baywood all that it can be. Because ''deed restrictions'' are very expensive and time consuming, we have come to a decision to try to take a stance. Our neighborhood is a GREAT place to live, we are the ONLY waterfront neighborhood with deep water access at all tides from tarpon Springs to Clearwater. Let's work together to clean up some of the things we KNOW shouldn't be - give usggestions to the board!! Get involved!! Come to the meetings!! This is your neighborhood, be proud to make it better for all of us. I went to my first meeting last month and I see how hard those baord members work, they need all of our help, let's all join together to make Baywood beautiful again.

Good Neighbor Policy

Perhaps the BVA board can send letters out to the homeowners in question, offering help to clean up their property. I believe it is very hard for one neighbor to tell another as it usually causes hard feelings! They all know who they are--don't they realize how EVERYONE feels? What can be done about home owners that make parking lots of their fron yards?
