Its primary roles include advocating the mission and programs of the American Red Cross and assisting the office in maintaining a positive image in the community. Other roles include supporting financial development,fund-raising activities, and volunteer recruitment.
Advisory Board members are appointed to the committee based on demonstrated involvement, support, interests, and commitment to the community. Members must also work or live in Wood County. All members should have a commitment to and an appreciation of the voluntary nature of the American Red Cross and its mission, goals, organizational structure, services, fundamental principles, and the responsibilities of its paid and volunteer staff.
