Wish I knew an answer. Thay have hit my house pretty hard also. Them anad those dang wood bees. I was told there was a type of paint that would run them off but I don't believe it. |

Thanks. I heard today that the woodpecker is most likely after some bugs (possibly those bees) that have made a hole in the siding. It was suggested that I get some bug spray and spray where the woodpecker is damaging the siding. I'll try to post how it goes! |

I don't have any personal experience with woodpeckers, we hear them once in a while, but we have so many holes in our siding it hasn't been a priority. I did a little digging & found this website, I thought it couldn't hurt to post it.

It says that they can be after the carpenter bees & to get rid of them first. We use NW Exterminating for our pest control/ termite bond & they keep offering us carpenter bee treatments. If you'd like to check into it their # is 770-266-6093
