Arden Neighborhood Association

Well, not necessarily the stone mug itself, but the motorcycles that gun their engines up and back down college ave everyday all day when the weather is warm enough? I know most of Arden isn't affected by this, but for those of us near college ave, the constant noise is awful. Is there anything we can do as a neighborhood association to curb the noise pollution?

I have discussed the situation with Ben Hunter, IPD's PR Officer for the North District. This comes up at every warm weather Broad Ripple Village Assn. meeting I've attended. IPD has discussed the problem with the owners and they have shown a spirit of co-operation. Notice that toward the end of last summer things died down early. This year the bikers have come back and the pressure needs to be applied to IPD through Ben to corral the situation. Any action that you or I, for that matter would deem appropriate, I can assure you would come under the heading of ''police harrassment'' if you think about it. Isn't it strange how the minority groups always seem to win anymore?
