The conversation at my house these days is what do we do about the rising disrespect for life we see rising everyday? We ask ourselves if the rising statistics in violent crimes is due to the lacidaze attitude that some have for simple things that we were taught as children. Respect your elders, work hard, honor your father and mother. These are key elements missing in our society today.
Mayor Joe Riley and Chief Gregory Mullen of the City of Charleston have joined together to deal with the spike in serious, more violent crimes as they quote it in their new Proposal Called the Legislative Criminal Justice Proposals.
