The neighborhood association would like to wish you and your family a very happy new year!
They would like to offer the residents of the Ardmore/Sherwood Forest more services and more growth as a community in the coming year.
Last year neighborhood association was on a upward momentum. There were three major projects that were sponsored by the association.
1. Day of Disaster a seminar on Hurricane preparedness.
2. Day of Caring a 911 event hosted by Trident United Way and The Ardmore/Sherwood Forest Neighborhood Association.
3. Get To Know Your Neighbor Breakfast hosted by the neighborhood association.
Each event increased community involvement and joined the community with dedicated business stakeholders.
Goals Are Set For 2007
We sat down and had a talk with the Neighborhood Association President and Vice President to discuss what the new agenda was for the Ardmore/Sherwood Forest Community, Here was what they said.
Rev. King said increase membership should be a goal for the community. She says the neighborhood association should have a 3-5year plan that they should be working on. She would like to start a leadership committee to continue with a set plan when the new President and Vice President take over. Rev. King would also like to increase the number of newletters to notify residents about neighborhood events. Another goal is have a street captain for each street.
