Palatine Road: IDOT has been negotiating temporary construction easement acquisition with Vista residents whose properties adjoin Palatine Road.
IDOT may obtain construction bids in the summer of 2004 if it continues to adhere to its most recent schedule.

Vista Picnic: Thanks to the many volunteers who helped make our annual picnic an enjoyable afternoon for all who attended. Any comments or suggestions for next year's picnic are always welcome. Contact Kelly O'Neil.


Coyotes>>> There have been several recurring sightings of different coyotes in all areas of Arlington Vista. Coyotes have been in the Vista for the past few years, but only seen after dark. Now the coyotes are out in the daylight. We are not aware of any danger to humans. Of course, never leave an infant unattended outside. If you have small pets, we subtly suggest that you do not tether them in your yard. They would make a tempting target for a hungry coyote. If you have any questions, call our neighbor, Stu Gordon.

Vista Directory Corrections: Corrections include additions, deletions, and errors. The corrections to our 2002 Vista Directory follow below. Next year we will publish the biennial Vista Directory that will include this year's corrections or any corrections you wish make next year.

Eckert: "Abby" is a new arrival at the Eckert home.

Fahey family at 1940 N. Maple Lane: New arrival "Mary Kate" joined her sister Ellie in January at the Fahey family home.

Fischer: Add brother "Toby" to Drew and Troy at the Fischer home.

Gazda: delete; moved.

Giese: This is the correct spelling for "Giese." The Directory spelling is incorrect in the alphabetical list.

Haberer: Lowell Haberer passed away on September 18, 2003.

Lumme: Add the Lumme family to the list. Mom and Dad are Heley & Gordon. They live at 1601 Rosehill with their child, Alex.

Kurpiewski: "Brian" just arrived to join his brother Eric with the Kurpiewski family.

Loh: The new baby in the Loh family is "Sophianne."

Luke: Add "Hunter" to his brothers, Tanner and Jordan, at the Luke family home.

May: Add "Morgan" with her sister Madeline at the May family home.

McAdam: "Caitlyn" is the girls's correctly spelled name. Also residing is Mr. Peter Varvitsiotes.

McGrath: Remove. They moved in August.

McGuire: George McGuire passed away in July 2002.

Mies: "Robert" joined his brother George with the Mies family.

Mullen: "Megan" is Erin's newborn sister at the Mullen household.
