Dear New Neighbor,
On behalf of the Arlington Vista Homeowners’ Association, welcome to our neighborhood. We look forward to having you as a member of our organization.
Arlington Vista is both a civic and social organization. We represent collective Vista interests in Village affairs in addition to social interactions. Over ninety percent of Vista residences belong to our association.
Members receive a Vista Directory, published every other year, which includes a list of members, a list of Area Delegates, a residents-name map of the Vista, and a list of neighborhood young people who are available to do lawn care, snow removal, and baby sitting. Residents may advertise free in the Directory for a home-based business. We publish a Directory update for the intervening year when the Directory is not published.
The Vista newsletter, Vista Views, is published as needed to keep you current with Vista information.
Each summer your area delegate will ask if there are any corrections that we should make to your Directory information. Your delegate will also collect the dues for the current year. The dues range from $5 to $8 for each household for one year, depending on our expenses.
Each spring the Easter Bunny visits Flentie Park for children of all ages. Each September we have a Vista picnic in Flentie Park at the intersection of Mulberry Lane and Birchwood Lane. Each resident of each Vista-member household may attend for free. The free picnic includes all games and food for the afternoon.
It is the spirit of volunteerism shown by delegates, officers, committee members, and picnic helpers that keeps the association functioning smoothly. When so many people contribute a small amount of time, the collective result is impressive.
Please consider volunteering for any of the positions that you may read about in the Vista Directory. You may talk to your area delegate or call any officer to discuss this in detail.
Your Vista officers and the members of our association hope that you will accept the opportunity to share in the amenities of our organization.
Very sincerely,
Jack Fahey, President
