Esther Short Park Update

In mid-February there will be a public open house task force meeting with the parks commission to discuss the direction of the preliminary master plan for the southeast quadrant of Esther Short Park.
NOTHING HAS BEEN FIRMED UP YET! For those who are concerned about what shape (and texture) these improvements take, this meeting will be the first, and possibly the last, chance to influence the outcome. The exact date, time, and place has not yet been set, but it will be posted in the newsletter IF this information arrives in a timely fashion. Esther Short Park Neighborhood Assn. is keeping a close eye on things concerning the park so anyone wishing to throw them some support with their presence at this meeting would do well to contact their chairperson, Charlene Auvil, at 694-4689, and have her fill you in with the details. The city has scheduled for construction to begin in July '00, and the dedication in December '00. Tempus Fugit!
