Arnada Neighborhood Association

I've recently been told there is a couple living on D St who have a humane animal trap. They are using this trap baited to catch cats and squirrels. They are not fond of either coming into their yard. They keep the cat in the cage for awhile and continually pour cold water onto them before turning them loose. They watch the squirrels pace back and forth until they die and then they cut off the tails. In their minds, this is discouraging other squirrels from coming into the backyard. I have reported this to animal control and they said they would investigate. It is going to take the entire neighborhood to watch these people. Please control your cats and let Jim and Peggy know their behavior is unacceptable.

This couple on D Street must be both sick and evil.  I want to help the animals.  Can you write back to me, Jim and/or Peggy?  I feed some underprivileged cats in the Arnada neighborhood and unfortunately am unable to "control" them.  Do you know if this behavior is still going on?  (In the past, I haven't had much help from Animal Control when there's an animal situation that needs intervention.)  Thank you for caring enough to post this information.  Urban Hermit
