Arrowhead Ranch Phase I

Is rudeness such as this normal?

Posted in: Arrowhead Ranch Phase I
I recently purchased a home and moved into Arrowhead Ranch. I was thrilled and excited to move into my very first home with my husband and get to know my new neighbors. Unfortunately everyone I have met has been snooty, rude and even cruel in some cases. One neighbor across the street from me told me my family car was ''unnacceptable'' for a neighborhood like this. I work as a server at the Cheesecake Factory and as I was headed to work Sunday morning some woman jogging stopped, eyed my uniform, and asked ''Are you a waitress?'' When I responded positvely. She had the AUDACITY to inform me that ''people like me usually don't live around here''. I have never experienced ANYTHING like this anywhere I have lived. I love my home and was so happy to finally purchase it. Now I feel completely unwelcome. This has been a major disapointment. Is this normal or am I just in a bad circle of residents who seem to feel they have the right to pass judgements on hard-working middle-class newcomers to the area?

Not Normal, But Common

Bear in mind that many of these same people thought they were too good to have a 99 Cent Store or Long John Silvers in their neighborhood. The majority of people living in Arrowhead Ranch aren't snobs, but there are enough of them to keep everybody else amused at the things they're offended by.

:)
Welcome to the Neighborhood!

Welcome to the neighborhood Susanna! It's always exciting being a first time homeowner! Enjoy your new home and just keep trying to meet new people in your neighborhood. It's taken us four years but we know lots of our neighbors and it's great!
Happy Holidays :)
I still feel....

I have met a few new people who are hard-working nice people. But still....my 11 year old had a birthday party a few saturdays ago and at 3pm the police showed up and informed us that we werereported to be giving alcohal to children and involved in illeagal drug use. I obviously alllowed the officers to enter my home and look for any illegal occurences. The found none.

Later, the same neighbor who made the comment about not having ''people like me'' in the area knocked on the door and said no matter what it took they would get myself and my husband arrested!!

I am shocked and appalled. But friends in the area seem to think this a normal occurence?? I have never experienced anything like this! I will not move! I will continue in the normal way I have been and be Damned anyone who thinks I am not ''worthy'' to live among them!

Is this a bda attitude? I'm looking for people who have had similar reactions from neighbors

I feel so alone.
