I have spoken to a number of my neighbors whom have all shown an interest in organizing or starting a block party. Does anyone know who I should talk to about this?

In order to have a block party and actually block off the street you need a permit for the street/event and a noise variance depending on the time of day. Both of these will come from the county. I believe you will need every neighbor in the affected area to sign off on the event as well. If you are interested in pursuing it further, your first contact may be Councilman John Cartier's office.
