I am sure I am not the only one to notice this but can some one tell me what the true speed limit is for Hammett Bridge road.

Before everyone thinks that I am just crazy for even asking, have you looked at the signs.

If you leave Riverside Chase and turn left (heading east towards Buncombe) there is a sign that says 35.  Now if you are coming west from Buncombe road, there is a sign that says 40.  

So if you are heading east it is 35 but coming west it is 40.

Check it out.  It is funny.

FYI,

I asked our District 6 City Counsel person about the speed limit on Hammett Bridge Road.  I was forwarded to the City of Greer police department.  Here is there response.

Mr. Jackson,

I spoke with one of our Traffic Officers and she stated she reported this to the Department of transportation a "couple of months" ago. She is researching this further to find out when and what their reply was. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and I will let you know what is discovered.

In case you have not notice yet, the speed sign just past the middle school was changed from 35 to 40.  So now it is official, the speed limit is 40 mph go both ways.
