CELEBRATES 1st ANNIVERSARY

Dozens of residents gathered at Kenwood Elementary School for the regular monthly meeting. A representative from Metro Government, Amanda Clephas began the proceedings with a proclamation from Mayor Jerry Abramson declaring April 27 as AURBURNDALE NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION in Louisville.
Amanda assisted area residents who laid the groundwork for the ANA. She complemented the residents from the early interest and continued support throughout the 2009-2010 administrative year.

Master gardener representing the Jefferson County Agriculture Extension Office and longtime South Louisville resident Terry Gibson presented tips and ideas on backyard gardening such as when to plant, water and fertilize. His handout is posted on the Website.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Ray Crider reportted the remaining balance in the Brightside Grant Account and General Fund Account. Crider reminded the body that ANA has no set dues and that operating funds come donations. ANA books are open for inspection by request.
UPDATES FROM OFFICIALS REPRESENTING AUBURNDALE
State Representative Tim Firkins updated the body regarding the recently concluded session of the Kentucky General Assembly and the planned Special Session.
Councilwoman Vicki Welch summarized District 13 activities and the upcoming annual event in the Jefferson Forest – FOREST FEST.
