Prior to merger, Louisville and Jefferson County began laying the groundwork for coordinated response through mutual assistance agreements among police and fire units and the building and support of the outdoor warning system. As everyone recalls NYPD\NYFD confusion and inability to comummunnicate with one another, today Louisville as solved the issue through a system of patches and consolidating Public Safety efforts in the recently dedicated Metro Safe Communications Center. Much gratitude to the Mayor and Chief Hamilton for a job well done.
Thanks to Doug Hamilton, Councilwoman Welch and Congressman Yarmuth's office for supporting Auburndale\Fairdale Emergency efforts.
