Sorry if you think I'm having a go at you - I'm not and I don't mean to be confrontational. I wanted to understand the money issue as I'm part of the Silent Auction organisers and you explained that. I thought that if I identified myself, people would be less willing to give to the Silent Auction as I didn't know what we were raising money for
I'm as much interested in ensuring that ARNA is a success, we are new around here and I'd like to get to know everyody! I agree that the organisation needs to do more than zoning, and if I am going to be involved in raising money for ''us'' then I like to know where it is going, and to make sure we get all we can out of what we have.
I'm from the UK, and in the village where I lived, we had an annual 'Fete'. Everyone joined in: the school kids did some ''maypole dancing'', fancy dress, races for kids and parents. There were competitions for seeing how far you could throw a wellington boot, hooplah, etc. Most of which you probably don't understand, but I can explain if you want!!!
I don't understand the political stuff here, but if this was in the UK, and the parties were sending representatives, then they would be expected to donate something towards having all those people listening to their views. Thats why I asked if they were helping.
As I said at the begining, I'm not having a pop at you, I'm just learning quickly!
