Where? When?

This is the only scheduled hearing. Is the only chance we have to make sure our elected officials hear us say ?“NO!?” If we don?’t say ?“NO!?” on Monday, the Toll will be placed and it?’ll never go away. We?’ll pay again, and again and again.

CAMPO Public Hearing

To whom it may concern,

I just found out that there is a proposal to put a toll on the soon to be constructed bridge over William Cannon. I am completely against this. Please do not.

I live in Circle C and must commute to work every day. My wife takes my child to school in downtown Austin and must go back and forth 2x?’s per day. This toll (if you assume it costs .50) would cost my family $3.00 a day, $15 per week, close to $800 per year.

I currently spend 5 to 10 minutes (each way) to pass through the William Cannon intersection. Placing toll booths at this bridge will cause me to wait about the same amount of time in toll booth lines. So my choice is wait 5 to 10 minutes to pass through this intersection, and not pay a toll, or wait 5 to 10 minutes and pay a toll.

This whole idea of charging a toll on this bridge seems wrong. I was under the understanding that my tax dollars have paid for this bridge. A toll on this bridge would seem to be a double tax on people like me. If you charge a toll on this bridge, why not charge a toll on all other bridges in Austin?

waiting for 5 years!

To whom it may concern.

I have been a resident on Circle C for five years. For each day I have been waiting for the Mopac bridge over William Cannon. I have been paying taxes for this bridge and listening to the promises of its completion.

Where does this ''TOLL'' come from? We (the taxpayers) have already paid for this bridge.

NO TOLL.
