Picture

Don't question our Patriotism

There are now 8 states that have a total ban on the sale of fireworks, and many others that allow only sparklers.

The New England States are considered to be the “Cradle of our Independence”.

Five of the States that have a total ban on fireworks are located in that “Cradle of our Independence”. In fact, 12 of our 13 "Original States" have a ban on the sale of fireworks or allow only sparklers and sparkling type devices to be sold.

Massachusetts, the site of the Boston Tea Party and the battles of Bunker Hill, Lexington and Concord, has banned the sale of fireworks.

Pennsylvania, home of the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, and where our Declaration of Independence was drafted and signed, has banned the sale of fireworks.or allows only sparklers or sparkling devices

There are many other safe and legal ways to express our patriotism.

Plan a block party with patriotism as the theme. Neighborhood Associations can plan a neighborhood parade and let the kids dress in patriotic attire and carry flags. Encourage homeowners to fly our flag and to decorate their homes with a patriotic motif, attend professional displays, But please----
