BG Zonta Club

INITIAL PROJECT PLAN APPROVED

At our special meeting on Tuesday, February 8, the members approved the initial project plan for BG Zonta. This plan has 3 phases:

1. FACT-FINDING (February-April, 2000). The activities in this phase will include:
--Benchmarking to determine the status of women in Wood County.
--Identification of current organizations and individuals within the community who currently provide services to the victims of domestic violence.
--Identification of the level, scope, and current success of those services.
--Invitation of resources to present programs to the BG Zonta membership.

2. ANALYSIS OF DATA/INFORMATION (May-June, 2000). The activities in this phase will include:
--Development of a resource directory.
--Identification of needs which currently are not being addressed.
--Identification of a project which BG Zonta can implement.
--Development of a fund-raising plan for the project.

3. IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT (July forward).
