Three Week, 50 Officer, EXTRA Bachman Initiative

On Tuesday , August 29th, and again on Tuesday, September 5th, Bachman North Homeowners met with various City Officials, including Chief Bolton, to express their concerns about increasing crime.

With this information further confirmed by Lt. Joe Gunn, recently assigned to Northwest by Chief Bolton, he authorized an extra 50 officers to patrol the Bachman area for the next three weeks.

During that ?“extra initiative?”, Lt. Gunn reported the following approximated numbers:

200 investigative arrests
800+ City arrests
1800 citations
100+ prostitution related arrests
lg # of drug related arrests
8 stolen vehicles recovered
5 guns confiscated
2000 people stopped / talked to
39% crime reduction over same
period last year
