While I TOTALLY agree we should be aggressive in keeping our neighborhood secure, I do not agree that ALL outside lights need to be on at night. Please be considerate to your neighbors by not putting high wattage bulbs in your side lights. Those of us whose bedrooms are on the same side as your outside lights are trying to sleep so we can go to work in the morning. With the street lights on every street, and the lights from back yard lights, side lights are wasteful and unnecessary.

Next time you turn your side light on go
outside and see what it shines on. It's not your yard, but your neighbor's windows. A lower wattage bulb? What a bright idea! I already have blinds and two sets of curtains and still, it's like trying to sleep with the sun out!
