Neighbors, please be on alert for a possible predator driving through our community!
A Board member was notified of a very frightening event that occurred in front of the home of one of our homeowner's Wednesday evening.
The homeowner's son was playing in their driveway when he noticed a van circling the block. The van stopped and the driver leaned out and began talking with the son. Thank God, his father was at home at the time and noticed the van pulling up and the individual talking with his son. The father walked outside to find out what the individual wanted and why they were talking with the son, but the van immediately took off. The family called the police and filed a report providing the officers with the following information:
The Vehicle was an older model Van (maybe 70-80's style with windows) Cream or off white colored with a very vivid orange stripe the length of the vehicle below the windows. There was also an additional orange stripe along the bottom.
The Driver appeared to be in his 50's with a pencil thin mustache. There was also another person in the vehicle, but the father was unsure if it was another male or a female.
Neighbors, please, contact the police should you see this vehicle, individual described or any other criminal activity suspected or occurring in our community. Also, make sure your children are aware of what occurred. This is the perfect time and opportunity to discuss with them what they should do if approached by strangers in our community or anywhere, if you haven't done so already. Let's keep our children safe!.
Please, always keep in mind... although we live in a beautiful and very quiet community, we must always stay vigilant and on alert to possible criminal activity that can venture into our community from perpetrators from other areas. Please do not be so complacent to think that we are secluded from crimes occurring here. Remember, crime can happen anywhere!!! Stay safe !!!
On behalf of the Board and our community members, our thanks to the Poore family who reported this incident, and asked that our community be notified.
