BARCLAY PLACE UPDATE

NEXT BOARD MEETING: will be held immediately following the Annual Meeting on January 18th, 2003. Subsequent meetings are held the second Wednesday of alternate months from March through November (that is?—March, May, July, September and November). If you mail something to a Board Member for discussion or action, it will be brought up at the following Board Meeting (if immediate action is required, a special Board Meeting will be held).

DECEMBER 2002
Updating our CC&Rs:
We are trying to bring our CC&Rs into the new century and so our Attorney has prepared several changes. You will receive a copy of the proposed changes in a separate mailing. Please read the changes carefully. YOU CANNOT HAVE YOUR CHOSEN PROXY VOTE ON THESE CHANGES to the CC&Rs so please vote on EACH of the THREE items and mail back your vote in the self-addressed stamped envelope (please mail them just in case you are unable, at the last minute, to get to the Annual Meeting).
--You are also getting a copy of the proposed updated By-laws. Please read them and be prepared to vote on them at the Annual Meeting.

Board Positions:
There are two positions open on the Board please see the Ballot in this mailing. JVR who has worked hard as our President for several years, has resigned and, in accordance with the CC&Rs and Bylaws, the Board has requested WK to fill the empty position on the Board.

Have you seen any water Leaks?
Our water bills continue to be much too high as our water leaks take place underground and by the time we know we have a leak, we have a huge water bill. If you see a leak, please call one of the Board Members. Thanks in advance for your co-operation.

Burglaries
At least five burglaries have been reported over the past few months. Please be alert and do not leave your homes unlocked. Recent newspapers articles have quoted police officers who have asked homeowners to lock their garage doors and front doors.

Clear Inserts for Del Trailor Lights:
We encourage you to order clear light inserts for the ?“Del Trailor?” exterior lights. Based on feed-back from real estate agents, these clear inserts appeal to the buying market more than the old-fashioned orange ones.
--We still have plenty of inserts in stock and can get you in touch with a painter if you want the fixture itself painted.

Paint Colors:
We have an account at Dunn Edwards. The number is on the hard copy newsletter or contact a board member. If you give this number to the Sales Staff, you will get a 25% discount on all our paint purchases. Remember to check with a Board Member for approved paint colors BEFORE you paint your home. If you do not use an approved color, you will have to re-paint your home. (You can buy paint anywhere, as long as it is the correct color).

Newsletter:
We hand deliver newsletters several weeks after the Board Meeting (as a courtesy to homeowners). If you do not get yours, please contact a Board Member.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU
SEE YOU AT THE ANNUAL MEETING ON JANUARY 18, 2003
