Are you here in the mornings from 7am-9am?
I live directly on Abbotsford. Late at night I have seen cars accelerate to AT least 70mph.
Have you also noticed the beer cans and trash along Abbotsford?
How about the graffiti painted on the fences of 2 homes on Counsellor Drive that are corner lots?
I highly doubt those living here did this.
During morning hours its a steady procession of vehicles and the real solution would be to put a 'no left turn" sign during 7am-9am for those travelling east on Lawyers Road. Having a Vienna law enforcement vehicle here to monitor for the first few days the sign is up would be a great beginning to slowing down some of the traffic.
Its a nuisance, and it shouldn't be used as a throughfare. There's enough traffic in the neighborhood already with buses and the morning commuters living in the neighborhood.
If it were up to me, this would be a gated community to preserve the privacy we sought when moving out of Washington DC to Vienna. Not to mention increasing the values of all of our investments.
