My family moved into this lovely neighborhood recently. And we would love to take pride in our neighborhood. Every morning I watch my daughter go to the bus stop for Tarpon Springs Middle school. On several accounts, I have witnessed a group of boys knocking over the basketball net. Once it even fell on my daughter. After that incident, I have watched the bus stop from my home. Being that I am so close to the club house, I am able to do such thing. What I have seen disturbs me very much. I have witness the same group of boys getting sticks and once a metal pipe. Apparently, they thought it would be fun to try to knock down a wasps nest. I did confront the boys, asking them why they were hitting the A/C unit? They did show me the nest. In fact, there was a nest, with several angry wasps. I asked the boys to please stop bothering the nest. And let an adult handle the nest. These are just a couple of incidents that I have noticed. On the morning of the wasp nest incident, I did stay until the bus came. The boys were not happy about it. During that time, they starting using some foul language, and started talking about drugs. I know that this is most likely the stage that these boy are in. However, I don?’t look at it as an excuse to vandalize the club house. That is there for our use. Banging the sides of the building, littering and I have also noticed that the basket ball net was indeed damaged and was thrown out. I would like to see something happen. Just to show these boys we as adults do not accept this conduct and we are proud of our neighborhood.
