Recently there were three fences sprayed with graffiti. Residents that live south of Sands Avenue may not be aware the problem. The fence surrounding a dumpster at the Beachwood Apts. was tagged. We contacted the Apt. Manager and she agreed to have the graffiti removed. We appreciate the Manager?’s quick cooperation. Also, two privacy fences of homeowners were tagged. Two members of our association attended the monthly Police ShAdCo meeting held at Regency Square and turned in photos of the graffiti. A police officer explained that once someone reports the violation at 630-0500 an officer will come out to make out a written report. The information is turned into the appropriate dept. to review and investigate. It is up to the property owner to take necessary steps to remove the graffiti since it is private property.
Also, the sidewalk and pedestrian bridge at the end of Beachwood Blvd. was recently spray painted with obscene graffiti. A neighbor contacted 630-city to report the vandalism. Within a few weeks, the sidewalk was pressure washed and the bridge repainted. It is also easy to use www.coj.net to report issues that need attention.
Please get involved in keeping Beachwood clean and make a difference in your community.
