Who's job is it anyways
My husband and I are avid walkers and we LOVE the new sidewalks. It is much safer for everyone and when the sidewalks were first put in the area looked well maintained. At the present time, the lawn area around the sidewalks at most areas is higher than mid-calf when walking. There is trash sporatically thrown as well. The Question is, who is responsible for maintaining and grooming the grass area at the sidewalks. If it is the residence/home owners, then PLEASE take pride on your property. If it the responsbility of the association, it needs to be groomed, trimmed more often. We personally pay are yearly dues and feel that if the reason for the lack of mowing is due to funds, the association needs to make it mandatory for all residents to pay or have it added to the homes taxes. Frankly, we hear in the winter, there are not enough funds for snowplowing the back areas of the development (where we live) and now in the summer months it seem there is not sufficient assistance for sidewalks and trash pickup. Many residents in this develop take pride in keeping their home property maintained. The main drive (Rivers Run Road) is traveled by visitors as well as residents. At this point it's a terrible first impression.
Thank you
