Hi all,

I thought I'd post this here, so everyone can be on the lookout.  While walking back from the park tonight at the West end of San Joaquin, I saw a white older-model Toyota Camry turn right onto San Joaquin from Salado (this is the dead end of San Joaquin they turned toward).

Anyway, at about the same time, I was passing a house with an open garage-door.  This Camry slowed down when it got to the house and was checking out the garage.  A few minutes later, the car turned around and headed East down San Joaquin and slowed down by another house with an open garage.

I think they realized I was watching them b/c they then sped up and turned right on Thames from San Joaquin.  There were 3 guys in the car...all looked to be of Asian decent.  I'm pretty sure the license plate was Z04 T71 or something similar.

Anyway, it was just really odd behavior, so wanted to make everyone aware.

Thank you so much for posting this. A while back, my husband left our garage door open while he ran inside to wash his hands. During this short amount of time, a white pick up truck backed up in our driveway and made off with some tools.  My husband came out while he was screeching out of the driveway and went after him.  He called the police and they caught the guy later.

We must all look out for our properties and our neighbors as well.

These thieves make a living off our hard earned dollars.

Whenever I work from home,  I try to keep an eye out for any suspicious vehicles.  I am sure everyone is.  I would like to see signs posted letting theives know we have a COP program or Neighborhood watch program.  IMO the HOA needs to have a meeting about crime and what action plans we can take to deter crime in our neighborhood.  If increased volunteers are needed,  then this would be a good time to ask.  I think we should vote on signs and any other measures needed to be taken to bring crime to a stop.   I dont understand why nothing is being posted to schedule a meeting....not in May....not in June.....it needed to be done months ago.  I also don't understand why our HOA president is never seen or heard from on this board?  What has he done to help our neighborhood?  I would like to know what our dues are being used for? Would it be possible to use some of that money in ways to reduce crime?  What are some of your ideas for this?  When are you scheduling a meeting?  I guess I am disappointed that we keep asking and get nothing in return.  When the crime started rising - a meeting should have been held.  Thats what a HOA is....binds our neighbors together to make a healthy community.
