Nevermind - found it myself and the FB page.   Here is what the meeting was about.

URGENT River Trails meeting. All nearby
neighborhoods are invited to join us as well!

We will be discussing the impact of the recent zoning change on Randol Mill Road from Planned Development to Industrial. This zoning change is dangerous as it will allow the installation of (15) Natural Gas Compressors, the most at any site in Texas, and none of the others are near residential homes. This will have a serious impact on the health of you and your family, as well as a serious impact on property values in RT (River Trails), LORT (Lakes of River Trails), and Mallard Cove. Location: All Storage's parking lot next to Subway on precinct Line Road, Wednesday 10/19/2011 at 6:30pm.

If you are unable to attend, there is an alternate meeting at Mallard Cove (west of the 7429 Randol Mill proposed Compressor site) on Thursday.

That why we MUST FILL EVERY INCH OF CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS ON NOV. 9TH AT 10 AM. Even is we have to recruit neighborhoods from the West, North and South. So, EVERYONE talk to your church friends, co-workers, schools, running buddies and tell them that you need a small favor. Just 1 hour of their time on Nov. 9th to help save your family, your house and East Fort Worth.

My question is - if Big Money is behind this,  why isn't Newell fighting it as well when trying to build $200K - $500K homes beside our neighborhood?  Surely he would know those homes would be a hard sell if this happened?

Because he owns the land and stands to make a fortune from the gas companies...just because he's listing the homes for 200k doesn't mean that's what he has in them , and once they're sold he no longer stands to gain monetarily....the gas money, however, that's residual income for him and his children and his children,  long term!

If you havent already heard, there is a meeting tonight at River Trails.  Chesapeake will be present at this meeting.

Fort Worth Residents - please attend the meeting at River Trails Elementary School THIS TUESDAY, NOV. 1 at 7pm.

Chesapeake has agreed to send their expert(s) to answer questions about the 15-unit Compressor Station proposed for 7429 Randol Mill Road. Construction is pending based on the zoning change request ZC-11-098.

We hope to have Fort Worth residents come out in numbers... and get answers about this INDUSTRIAL facility they wish to build only 1000 feet from the Mallard Cove neighborhood, 2500 ft from River Trails and even closer to existing ranches and homes on Cooks Lane and Randol Mill Road.   They are just on the other side of the river bank from the Trinity River just south of our neighborhood.

ALSO:  As you know we enjoy southerly winds into our neighborhood at River Trails.  If this site gets built, even just ONE compressor, the toxic emissions will blow across into our neighborhood as well as settling into our neighborhood, potentially near the school your kids attend, not to mention the homes where you and your kids live.

On the 40 acre property they plan to put 15 compressors. FIFTEEN...Unprecedented for a residential area. For perspective, the Mercado site on I-35 has 2 compressors.
If you'd like to get an idea of what a 5-station compressor looks and sounds like, you should visit the site at 7090 Enterprise Avenue. (This site is across the Trinity from Riverbend neighborhood.) Or if you're being more adventurous, take a drive south on 820 to 8500 Aledo Road where there is a 5-compressor site with a different build-out.

The city zoning meeting for this case is 10am Wednesday, Nov. 9. The City Council meeting (for vote) is scheduled for 7pm Tuesday, Dec. 6. We hope you can support the opposition to this Industrial site by being present at those meetings as well.

SILENCE IS CONSENT.  If you do not attend and/or oppose this zoning change, you are consenting to the zoning change and allowing it to happen.  NOW IS THE TIME TO STOP IT.

Some background from our neighbors at Mallard Cove (courtesy of Gretchen Demke, Mallard Cove HOA):

Compressor stations of this magnitude if needed should  be placed  in remote areas  away from any residential areas. If Chesapeake's pipeline company gets this location NO NEIGHBORHOOD  can be safe. Just like gas wells  you might find a proposal such as this coming your way next . Come to the meetings  If you can IF NOT  please write your mayor and City Council representative of your concern for Fort Worth. Our current Gas Ordinance allows compressor stations as close as 300 ft from residential areas. While too many residents remain silent our city and neighborhoods are becoming Industrialized  with gas wells  and compressor stations that will  degrade your quality of life, RISK YOUR HEALTH and SAFETY ,  reduce your property value  and marketability. Consider  if you wanted to buy a new home , would you buy in a neighborhood inundated with gas wells  and industrial gas facilities  such as the compressor station seen in this brief video?

The choice is yours  stay silent and the Gas Industry will continue to work behind the scenes with our leadership to Industrialize Fort Worth.

Again Please speak out  WE need a more protective Ordinance  and controls for any of this we allow in our city.

I have been an activist for responsible  development of gas resources for 6 years  and have tried to fight for our neighborhoods on this issue. It takes us ALL to speak out  NOT JUST THE FEW. Remain silent and you will get what they ( Chesapeake , XTO, Ranger Resources , Encana , and all the rest  want to give you. They have full time lobbyist talking to our leaders ever  day with power and money in hand ) Your Voice  Your Votes are the counter weapon of reason .

I have no questions to ask of them...them being anywhere near a residential area, church, school etc. is not an option...I won't entertain their rhetorical b.s. and explanations!  They just need to stay out.  I have had some neighbors ask me about information I have passed on not being on this page.  It's important to remember not everyone has facebook but we need everyone in the neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods to support our efforts.  I will gladly make copies and go door to door and tape thing son mailboxes, Hold a picket sign, pass out materials at the entrances...this is CRAP! Let me tell you about noise....the pumping station is behind me...I've tolerated that damned noise for years...let them build those compression stations and you will all see, what I've been complaining about, and I know it doesn't even compare.Lie with dogs you get fleas....we started rolling in the dirt with the gas companies 8 years ago, now look!
