Bellarmine requests deferral

An appeal by Bellarmine University of a Notice of Violation cited by Louisville Metro Inspections Permits & Licenses (IPL) was requested by Bellarmine to be deferred until 20Feb2005. In the interim, Bellarmine has ''paved'' the rear area of the property in an attempt to provide sufficient parking. At issue remains the property-use as a ''dormitory'' in an R-5 zoned residential area where eight (8) students exceed the Land Development Code restriction to five (5) or less.

Appeal Denied, Citation Upheld

8:30a-11:20a Monday 20Feb2006 BOZA public hearing - commissioners upheld the citation by IPL for use of property as ''dormitory'', appeal by Bellarmine for ''accessory use'' and/or ''single-family use'' was denied.
