Bella Vista

I have a pet peeve about this and also electrical company failures. Since living here at Bella Vista I have noticed several times now getting other people's mail. Is the mail peson day dreaming I have to wonder when sorting the mail? I understand that certain periodicals are not delivered for certain reasons and wonder when I put the misdirectd magazines back into the box hoping it will find it's way, that it won't go into the garbage can. Oh, I used to receive my magazines with the covers ripped or completely ripped off.

I think it would be interesting to track how many times we have problems with our mail here. Maybe presenting the facts to a post office supervisor would get some better results? I think I have noticed a second delivery person since moving in last year.

The mail service has actually been a little better in comparison to the first couple of years in the community.  It is my understanding that we have sub-contractors delivering our mail.  At some point I think the property manager, or someone, complained and it has been a little better.  Now, instead of getting someone else's mail 2-3 times per week, it happens only about once a month.  Oh, and they also used to throw all of your envelope mail inside your circulars or magazines so you could easily miss important mail if you weren't paying attention. 

I had a problem about a year and a half ago, it's been better since then...but then again I have stopped most of my bills from mail delivery. Anyway it went on for about 3 months.  I was missing bills every month because they never got to me.  I went right to the local branch, Ehrlich and Dale Mabry, and was in contact with Rosie Allen 908-3210.  If you have problems she should be able to help.  I still get mail for other people in the neighborhood but I take right to their mailbox.

I got two magazines for two different people on Lake Bella Vista. I delivered them to their mailbox myself on my way to work. Then, this past Friday I got two envelopes for my next door neighbor. I walked over and gave them to him.

For me, it's getting worse. My next door neighbor explained to me that the mail is sorted for the carrier at the sub station. But, my belief is the carrier still has to pay attention and read the address of the 'sorted' mail and put it in the correct mailbox. How much easier does the carrier's job have to be to get it right I wonder? I guess they are overworked like everyeone else these days.

Complaining until we get a good mail carrier may do us good. If enough people here post their misdeliveries here it would be easy to print out and carry down to the sub station and make a complaint.
