This might seem like a small item of concern but one that annoys the hell out of me and I'm sure a lot of other people at times. I'm sure you've had to stop at a traffic light where there is one car on a side street that has tripped the sensor wire and you and many others have to come to a complete stop and then sit and watch as this car makes their turn and sails off into the sunset while you sit and wait for that light to change. It sucks doesn't it? I get tired of having to hit the brake so many times for inconsiderate drivers let alone these ridiculous light changes.
So, here's what you can do. There is a link on the left side of our web site that you can clikc on and fill out a few fields and send a message along with the canned message i've provided, via fax. This will send a fax directly to the Traffic Services people here in Hillsborough County. Then, wait and see what happens.
I put in a call to this department back around May 15th and voiced my concern about the many lights I have to go through to get to work eacy day that don't have the blinking caution lights. I work nights so I go in to work in the evening when there isn't much traffic on the main roads. I was asked how many lights and what the intersections were. I rattled them off as she took each down in her notes. I was then informed that this would be submitted to the engineers and I would be contacted later. I didn't believe I would ever hear from anyone. But, low and behold, I got a call in about two weeks from another person who told me that my information was submitted and that I would be contacted later to be told wether or not a study was warranted. I'm still waiting on that call. Now, with your help by sending a fax maybe a little pressure could be put on this concern of mine.
I've been able to get government to work in my favor before but it takes a little effort like a phone call or a letter. Just take a minute and click on that link and zip off a fax to them, for all of us, okay? thanks.
