Bella Vista

I know most times when I post it is negative about issues around Bella Vista so today I would like to share a positive to the few people who visit this site! Let me tell you about my neighbors. Jason had to go out of state for work and while he was gone I started cutting his grass so he wouldn't have to pay someone to do so. I just simply cut it when I did mine. Paul the neighbor on the other side of me, saw this and started helping and we would do his at the same time. Paul has a big backward and thankfully a riding mower. We would do the fronts of the 3 yards, one cutting one weed-eating then one would edge while the other swept up the debris. Once we finished this I would work on the side and backyard of Jason's and mine while Paul used his rider to do his side and backyard. It makes cutting all three much quicker. Jason now has work closer to home and he does the three yards with us and it is easier with the three of us working together. We share thoughts and ideas and learn from one another. I have been criticized by the President for cutting three lawns and he has said he wouldn't do it. As a matter of fact he offered one time to cut mine but said he wouldn't do all 3 yards. Well I don't look at it as cutting 3 yards. I look at it as helping each other. Sure sometimes we can't all participate but it's always at least 2 of us working together. I believe this is part of what makes a neighborhood special. Neighbors helping each other. I've even seen 2 homeowners down the street from me working together to do their yards at the same time! I think it's great. I have another neighbor-Dan H. Dan is another great neighbor. He is the type of guy that enjoys time with his family but if someone needs a helping hand or something checked out, he makes time to help. The guy never seems to get worked up or tell someone in need " I don't have time". He always is friendly. Wish I could go through life with his outlook. I am blessed to have these neighbors and so are you. It's part of what makes Bella Vista special. I know that Paul and I would love to help and get to know more of our neighbors. Do you have a project and it's just to much for you to tackle? I know we would love to help a neighbor in need of some free help! Not looking for a paycheck just want to be more involved in the community and help our fellow residents. I know there is more people with the same feelings out there. Can we help you?

Hello, yes, I think this is a great idea for our neighborhood.  I would be interested in some of us getting together to re-paint the front sign that someone has decided to spray paint.  I was almost thinking of just meeting everyone early in the morning (where the children collect for the bus) and include them in the effort so they might also take pride in their community.

I believe I have some left over exterior paint from recently painting my house.  The color should almost be exact.

It's a small area...I'm guessing it should take about 1 hour-max.

yep! its great to get together and help each other out.  The neighbor across the street and my husband get together each time they mow the lawn and work together.  Its great to get together and help out. 

We did this in church one sunday went around knocked on doors and asked if we could mow their (in the neighborhood we went too) lawns.  Its such a great feeling.
