It has come to my attention yesterday by more than one person that I talked with that someone is going around and saying the above.  You hear one side of a story but if you can get the other side you can make up your own mind and decide for yourself.

The original postings on this website were made to wake some people up. I think that was accomplished. Now that the window is open the residents are speaking up. It is your 1st amendment right, 'Freedom of Speech' it's called in case you forgot or don't remember. No one has any right to shut you up or tell you that you cannot say anything.  This website was provided to discuss anything that concerns anyone here in our community. It can be about anything.

Pay close attention to what is coming next in our discussion area. I believe we've only just begun. There is going to be change in our community and we'll let you have a voice in it right here since you can't make a meeting or maybe don't want to go to one.  For those that do go it is a treat. You will be exposed to the raw discussions and decisions made by your board that affect your lifestyle and your wallet here at Bella Vista. If you don't care how much you pay to live here then that's your business If you don't care how your neighbor keeps his property that's your business too. But, keep in mind that some residents bought into a contract, namely the bylaws of Bella Vista when they bought property here. These are your concerned neighbors that are looking out for the value and well being of our community even if you are not. These same people will speak up from time to time and demand that the governing board keep to the rules. It's a simple contract.

Yes, it's a tough job, the board of directors and officers have. They aren't paid and they try to have some semblance of a family and social life. You have to give them credit too. It's like a plant. You water it daily and it gives you rewards. Think about it. We can offer the board our criticism or our help. Which do you think we should do? The right thing, of course. So, are you with us or are you against us?

Next time someone asks you if you're interested in joining a committee, ask what you can do. It's all about teamwork and building support for a common cause. I'm hoping to find others willing to lend a hand and spare some time for our own sake. What do you say? I'm all ears.

Thank you Paul for bringing this up. I believe I have been credited with being the trouble on Montilla Loop by many. These people need to understand that I have tried different avenues to get my point across. I have attended meetings and worked with the board only to see progress slow to a snails pace. The meetings seem to rehash what was already brought up in previous meetings and ending with we will discuss that issue at the next meeting. Some board member attitudes have changed also and not being the most easy to approach and discuss issues with them. It's coming across as we are wasting their time by trying to discuss concerns. I have been berated not once but twice in front of my neighbors. I have been talked about behind my back. Hell they make it a point to cross the street to avoid walking in front of my home. I guess thats supposed to bother me. It doesn't. I find humor in it. I started out just not talking to one of them trying to follow the rule of "If you don't have anything nice to say -don't say anything" that resulted in one of them constantly asking you what my problem was and calling me a coward. Later when I was confronted by that individual he said he knew it would get back to me and called you my b*tch. You and I discussed many things in our talks but not all topics relate to Bella Vista. I understand it is assumed that everything you discuss with that individual is reported back to me. False. As a matter of fact, he has supplied me with sensitive information that me not being a board member, I was not supposed to see. I have never let the cat out of the bag on those issues so his claiming everything he tells you goes back to me and becomes a post here is a lie. I have been accused by him of hating some of my neighbors. I have never uttered the words I hate ----. But I do strongly dislike someone after all they have done. I believe he is trying to paint a picture that if you are elected,I will know all the boards business. Well first off I don't need to know more than what is discussed at a meeting to the homeowners and I have enough respect for you that I would never want to put you in that awkward position. I feel you and I can discuss something that may be an issue in the community without you yelling at me or saying you don't worry about the little things or whatever other excuse is used. We can agree to disagree. There is so much more that the homeowners don't know about my dealings with the President and really don't need to have all of it posted here but if the board or any resident wants to label me as the trouble maker around here so be it. When the day comes that Bella Vista is run down because they tried to save money by not legally enforcing violations or a resident gets a violation for something others don't or a member of the board is rude to them or their property value continues to decline, maybe they will understand why I took the action that I felt was necessary. The money we pay here is not the issue to me-it is what we get for that money that really concerns me. They try to save money by not enforcing rules and to me that hurts the maintenance of the community and I don't mean common areas. Last year they had 2 attorneys working on the same thing and paying both! Or the 2 legal letters they had sent out over the streetlight. It was wanting someone to agree to take responsibility if the wall or the sidewalk were to be damaged when they put the light up. I would think the county would side with us if there were damage and have it fixed but to pay legal fees to send a request that they agree to fix any damages ,not once but twice?? What did that cost?? And still no streetlight?? I'm sorry it has come down to this. I'm sure someone will be upset by this post but I ask them to remember two things:1-my points are not lies there is truth to them,2-A board member is a public figure in our community and I am bringing up issues relevant to the community. I am not attacking their personal life. If the person wasn't the president, I probably would not be posting anything about him!! Then again if everything were dealt with and the rules were followed I probably wouldn't be posting any of this.

Rich, I applaud your concerns for the community and the residents. I also believe you are a rare person that stands up and speaks it like it is. I thank you on behalf of the residents that don't speak for themselves. I could go on and on but I'll stop here. I look forward to working with you in the future on the concerns here in Bella Vista. We'll talk soon.
