I have to say thank you to Rich Nicol for taking it on his own to cut the grass at a house that is in foreclosure on Montilla Loop. This is what we need more of, neighbors taking time to help keep our community looking right.

I give a thank you also to Rob VanName for taking his time to follow up at the same house and do some weed and grass trimming with his line trimmer.

Rich found a browned out Christmas tree in the backyard. He pulled it out and set it on the front of the road for trash day pickup.

There are two other neighbors on Lake Bella Vista that have been helping out with another house that has been abandoned. I'd like to say thanks to them also. I can't remember their names now, sorry.

Thank you for your kind words. I saw one of the neighbors cutting it today. Great! Although I'm not sure if it was to keep it under control or to keep me from coming down to their little corner of the world............

Rich, You are welcome first of all. Secondly, you don't need to think about what others think of you when you know you are doing something right and good. You just do it because you know it's the right thing to do and hopefully you'll show by example. Obviously we did just that and the neighbors across the street from this abandonded property are doing what they can.

Why would anyone want to keep you from coming around, you are a great inspiration to others. If only others would take a moment of their time to do a little something once in a while, we'd see a better kept and friendlier neighborhood I'm sure.

We all just need to get out more often and meet and greet each other with a little respect and kindness. It would be a start.
