It was a very difficult week in Bellemeade with so much ice and snow. Falling trees took out a lot of power lines all over our fair city and Kentucky. LG&E states that some people in Kentucky will be without power for a month. It was that bad!
Not to have electirc power for eight days was trying my soul but we made it through thanks to some good neighbors.
This was the thrid major power loss for me within the last year and given the above ground power lines I know it will not be the last. I will be reviewing the options that a sixth class city can take in these conditions to see if we can improve our response.
I am so pleased that we have such good neighbors in these trying times.
